Late last year, the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) published a final rule addressing employer payment for personal protective equipment (PPE). This controversial standard was eight years in the making, and it took effect February 13 of this year. Enforcement will start on May 15—are you ready?
Under the rule, all PPE that is required under OSHA standards, with few exceptions, must be provided at no cost to the employee. The final rule also clarifies OSHA's requirements regarding payment for employee-owned PPE and replacement PPE.
Order this 90-minute audio conference recording that will clear up any questions you may have on this new PPE rule.
