Pablo Päster is vice president of Greenhouse Gas Management Innovations ClimateCHECK and an experienced greenhouse gas expert specializing in supply chain greenhouse gas analysis and carbon neutral products. Päster is currently in a Technical Working Group for developing the new GHG protocol for product supply chains. His clients have included Clif Bar, Red Bull North America, Hamilton Beach, Alberto Culver, Dominion, and BrightSource Energy.
Päster was a founding member of the Sustainable Solutions Group at URS, the world's largest engineering design firm, and worked with Hunter Lovins at Natural Capitalism Solutions. He designed carbon calculators for air travel and home energy use as well as custom client solutions for companies such as TransGroup Worldwide Logistics while working with LiveNeutral. Päster worked with a major U.S. natural gas pipeline company performing a corporate greenhouse gas inventory that incorporated fugitive emissions and fuel use over a dozen states.
Päster has a B.S. in Manufacturing Engineering from Cal Poly and an MBA in Sustainable Management from the Presidio School of Management and was in intern at the Wuppertal Institute for Climate, Energy, and the Environment. Päster also writes a popular column about environmental issues on TreeHugger.com and has been published in, cited in, and interviewed for publications ranging from The New York Times and NPR, to EnvironmentalLeader.com and Salon.com.
