It’s no secret that many workers in the United States hate their jobs. Nationwide surveys show that for every 10 employees in America, 7 or 8 don’t like what they do for a living on any given day. This dissatisfaction decimates employee loyalty and contributes to growing levels of turnover around the country.
Along with the usual suspects (salary and benefits), experts now point to another critical factor that today’s workers weigh as they decide whether to stay or go: the leadership quality of their managers. Good frontline bosses can make or break any workplace - especially in the current climate where factors within the control of your managers are the most commonly cited reasons employees say goodbye.
Learn how you can reduce turnover and retain your top employees by developing the leadership skills of your supervisors and managers. During this 90-minute audio conference recording, our expert speakers will discuss the specific management behaviors that affect employee retention the most – and how you can strengthen the positive factors that keep your best employees on your payroll.
Bring your supervisors along for this conference so that they can learn firsthand what makes their workers happy and committed – and what makes them ready to start looking for another job.
You and your colleagues will learn:
- The supervisory best practices that engage and attract employees in your workplace – and the behaviors that drive them out the door
- Which red flags mean key employees are at risk of leaving (and the strategies that managers can use to help them change their minds)
- How to teach the leaders in your workplace what retention factors lie within – and outside – their control
- The best ways for supervisors to address retention concerns with individual employees, without making matters worse
- How to deal with younger workers whose career attitudes and goals may differ greatly from those of their older colleagues
- Tips for retaining a diverse workforce, as well as telecommuters and other remote employees
